Nice design indeed. No offense, but I still don’t like it at all. The high contrast is too distracting and the layout doesn’t match the structure at all. For me it’s just not simple enough. As the Wordpress administration sites aren’t.
I’d rather seen something like Steve Smiths Wordpress administration plugin which is just a masterpiece of simplicity and functionality. I’ve been using it for quite a while now, and i can say that it really boosted my Wordpress productivity. Check it out at ordered list.

wow, the similarity to Magento cms is remarkable. might want to reconsider this.

after trying Magento’s demo i do confirm that the above proposed admin interface is (with slight differences) almost the same.
anyway, provided that, as elliot stated, the whole thing is fully customizable changing the admin theme will not be a problem

Looks great - I would love to see this site get some screenshots of the current design as well. I think you would get a lot more immediate gratification and discussion going if people could see what the admin interface “looked like” without having to download the package.

Nonetheless, Blaze is turning out to be something I can really get excited about.

it’s gonna be yet another big bloat anti-human admin interface. From CMS Made Simple to Drupal to Typo3 — those adminfaces’re not for humans. They are for us, developers, and they’re good for developing, but what ’bout those blondy girls, who will support it, post into it, even manage it? ‘K, forget bout girls, take a look at that guy across bargaining table — he’s your client, and he wants that thing be simple ’cause he counts his time, every second. It’s really hard to sell site with complex and powerful CMS. It’s pretty rare for us freelancers to take job where cms doesn’t matter. When it’s matter client want it be magically as simple as commenting this post.

i can assume that clients non-developers exist only here in Russia Still i’m pretty sure they everywhere worldwide around the globe corrupting our clean straitforward will for making _powerful_ admin interfaces

But. You did REALLY great job for us CI-lovers ^_^
